Schedule an in-person tour at the Greenmarket
School Toursmay be scheduled for K-12 students at our weekday Greenmarket locations from September to December. Please fill out this registration form to book a tour, now! Greenmarket tours are interactive and provide opportunities for students to learn more about local agriculture and fresh, local food. If you are not able to make it to the Greenmarket, you can either take a virtual tour of the GrowNYC Union Square Greenmarket or go on a self-guided tour of your neighborhood Greenmarket.
Adult tours are also available for teachers, PTAs, and others. Union Square Greenmarket, the largest farmers market in NYC, is a popular choice, but tours can also be conducted at Greenmarket locations throughout the city. Tour attendees will receive Health Buck vouchers for fruits/vegetables, while supplies last.
*Note: All Greenmarket tour leaders are fully vaccinated.
Visit the GrowNYC Teaching Garden at Governors Island
We are heading back to school again and the teaching garden is ready to work with you and your students! We are offering both in-person programming and virtual field trips this fall. For in-person trips, fill out this google form. We know it might be hard to get out of the classroom this year, so we are also offering a virtual field trip option for all ages.
